Is there any asbestos in the friction linings?

Our friction linings are asbestos-free since 1998/1999

How can I clean dirt off the brakes (e.g., also friction linings)?

Please do not clean the rotor! If you want to clean the rotor only use compressed air (without oil!).
Never use any liquids to clean the rotor.
To clean stator housing, flange or armature palte only use Tunclean 895 by company "Tunap Industrie Chemie GmbH, 82515 Wolfratshausen".

How big is the allowed deviation of the voltage?

+/-10% of the nominal voltage mentioned on the label

What is the maximum permissible offset between hub and rotor?

In general INTORQ allows a tolerance of +/-0,5mm.
Up to now there are no known issues from the field when using the nominal dimensions.

What is the process for breaking in INTORQ brakes?

We recommend to brake 10 times with 50% of QE per stop. Please always make sure that the speed is not above the values mentioned in the catalogue. Please also note that the run in process depends on the type of friction lining (e.g. the RIF-lining does not need a run in process).
For questions regarding the run in process in your application please always mention the data of your application (speed, inertia, ...). We will then specify a run in process for your application.

How long can INTORQ rotors be stored?

We recommend to use the rotors within two years after the date of production. When the rotors are in use there are no limits.
